Most backlit keycaps glow unevenly because the top-printed legend blocks light in the center and leaves the edges dark. With side-printed legends, the top surface is completely bare polycarbonate. RGB fills the entire cap and escapes outward, giving you a smooth, consistent glow across every key — no hot spots, no shadows.
